About us
Paul Gill CPA
Born and raised in nearby Live Oak. My early years consisted of working at my dad’s service station, Gill Tire Co. and working on our farm which averaged over 100 cattle. After graduating High School, I then commuted for two years to Lake City Community College (now Florida Gateway College). I then graduated from the University of Florida with a BSBA degree (an Accounting Degree). My work in Lake City began in 1978. During all these years I’ve developed a working relationship with many types of businesses. Principally with Farmers, Construction, Professionals and Small Businesses.
I remember that in 1988, a client was using a PC computer to list several pages of job cost information of an electrical contractor. I had been using a 16-column paper spreadsheet that was wearing down my fingers, adding machine and eraser. I decided right then to do something different. With a newly purchased computer and a software spreadsheet, next year I had all the job costs on a spreadsheet software. I could make changes, input data much faster and the printouts looked great. From then on till today, I fully embrace the ideal of trying to automate what had been a chore of manually inputting data.
That brings me to today. I believe that with the current technology, that accounting for small businesses can be automated to a great extent. You’ll still have situations where you have to refer to source documents, but a large percentage of transactions can be delivered to an accounting system that can be maintained remotely and secure. I like the ideal of having your programs and data safe and secure away from your local computer. I have heard so many sad tales of a computer crash and other problems.
I want my clients and anyone else to consider the possibilities of using current technology to enhance and simplify the rather mundane process of getting the books done. And I might add, it gives you improved information in a timely manner.
My hobbies include:
Attending Florida Gator football games.
Fishing for Red Bellies, Stumpknockers and Suwannee Bass on the Santa Fe River.
Competition BBQ, our team’s name is “Smokin’Gillboys”.
Reading fiction/suspense/detective novels.
Trying to keep up with new accounting technology.
I’m married to Debbie Bedenbaugh, and we have two children and two grandchildren.

I was raised in Missouri and moved to Florida in 1985. I started working with a National Retail chain in 1979 as a sales associate. In 1982 I was promoted to a management position and had sales floor, personnel, office procedures, and customer service responsibilities throughout my 15-year career.
In 1989, I moved to Lake City, married Robert Bedenbaugh, Jr. and later had 2 children and decided to be a stay-at-home mother. In 2005, my spouse passed away and I did not work so that I could be home for my children. I decided to go to Lake City Community College in 2009 for business and accounting classes and also took a tax preparation course to see if that would be an area that I would like to enter in. I found that I really enjoy working in the bookkeeping and tax preparation field and have done so for the past 3 years. I married Paul Gill in 2009, and now find myself starting Mobile Online Accountants, LLC.
My hobbies are fishing on the Matanzas Intracoastal River, going to the beach in the Hammock and taking pictures of the sunrise, reading, working crossword and Sudoku puzzles, playing with my 8 wonderful grandchildren, spending time with my family, watching Gator football games, baseball, and going to movies.
